On the directives of Chief Executive, Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) Anwar Ul Haq Yousafzai drive against illegal use of electricity is in full swing throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In this connection surveillance teams of PESCO raided in different areas of Mardan Circle and nabbed 15 commercial and industrial direct connections.
FIRs have been launched against them and further investigation initiated. Similarly, 5 industrial and 45 domestic and commercial tampered meters were also found. A sum of Rs 75,393 recovered from them on the spot.
Similarly, under the supervision of SE Khyber Circle Jamal Uddin, SDO PESCO Lachi teams disconnected power supply to village Darmalak due to non-payment of millions of rupees.189 defaulters of village Darmalak owing Rs 11,781,560/.
According to a spokesman of PESCO, drive against illegal use of electricity and direct hooks will continue, PESCO has once again warned to stop power pilferage in the larger interest of the nation.
