Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) President Fareed Mughis A Sheikh has called for an early announcement of the Strategic Trade Policy Framework to achieve the export target of $25 billion.
He warned that an undue delay in this regard could result in further decline of textile exports. Sheikh said that the textile exports had reduced by 14 percent over the past six months. "If this downward trend persists, it could lead to a reduction of $3.5 billion in exports by the year-end, which would be a great loss to national economy," he added.
