Pakistan Customs has installed WeBOC system at Kharlachi Customs Station at Pak-Afghan border in Kurrram Agency to bring transparency in the system and provide traders with all the facilities at the border. Similarly, land has been acquired for establishing modern customs stations at Kharlachi, Borki and Tri Mengal borders of the Kurram Agency.
In a statement the Collector Customs, Peshawar has appreciated the efforts of Political Agent, Kurram Agency Amjad Ali for taking keen interest in automation of the customs station in the tribal agency. After installation of one customs online system the Kharlachi station has been linked with computer system all over the country, enabling exporters and importers to get all the facilities at the border, added the statement. The system besides bringing transparency it would yield increase in revenue. Meanwhile, customs clearing agent and importer/exporter, Shujauddin lauded the installation of online system and said that backward areas like Parachinar would greatly benefit from it.
