Lucky Cement awarded for CSR initiatives

Lucky Cement Limited is honoured with the 5th Corporate Social Responsibility Award for its CSR efforts and its stakeholder and employee engagement. The company is running regular CSR awareness and rural development programs in the distant villages of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh, along with various scholarship programs in local and international universities. Recently, the Lucky Cement conducted a book distribution drive in efforts to empower local communities on the account of International Literacy Day.
The books were donated to underprivileged schools situated in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In addition, Lucky Cement Limited is internationally recognised for its environmental management systems complying with international standard BS-EN14001:2004.
The awards were held at the CSR conference held to gather professionals from a broad spectrum of entities including local and international organisations, NGOs and bureaucracy. Each year, these awards are given to companies that play active role in fulfilling their corporate social responsibility.-PR
