Sindhi and Urdu versions of two books on Entomology translated by Dr Imran Khatri, have been launched by Vice Chancellor of Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam, Dr Mujeeb Sahrai. Speaking to a launching ceremony held at his office on Wednesday, the vice chancellor said that agriculture is a main source of poor people to support their families.
He said that agriculture is the backbone of our economy, adding that it is the responsibilities of our experts to transfer other languages' works into every language spoken in our countries so that farmers and students could enhance their knowledge and serve the society.
He further said that most important source of knowledge is books and experience. Briefing about books, Dr Imran Khatri said that the English version of same subject was published 20 years ago and it could be downloaded from internet, adding that books are helpful for students, researchers and farmers to increase and protect their crops. Dr Maqsood Anwer Rustmani, Dean Faculty of Agricultural Crop Protection and other officials were present on the occasion.
