Six teams from Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka will participate in the first fifty plus (50+) One Day International Cricket Tournament, to be played in Sri Lanka from February 20 to 29. Players over 50 years age will participating in this tournament. The matches will play in Colombo, Galle and Kandy, Fawad Ijaz Khan, Chairman Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association (PVCA) said here Thursday. He said that former national players of Pakistan, Sri Lanka and England will participate in the tournament.
The Pakistan's Veterans team lead by the CEO of PVCA Ashiq Qureshi comprises of Ashiq Hussain Qureshi (captain), Ghaffar Kazmi (vice captain), Amer Ilyas Butt, Sajid Ali, Akram Raza, Najeeb Sadiq, Javed Hayat, Ashraf Pakhali, Professor M. Javed, Anjum Gulzar (W.K.), Raja Arshad, Dastagir Butt, Zubair Butt, Kamil Khan, Zia Kaleem Khawaja (Manager). Akram Raza is a former test player and Sajid Ali is former ODI player.
