Central leader of PML-N and Member National Assembly Hamza Shahbaz has said that we should think about the future of the country instead of protecting our own politics. He expressed these views while addressing the function of free distribution of rickshaws among 'mustahqeen' under Zakat Rogzar Scheme, here Wednesday.
Hamza said that present leadership is utilising all available resources for resolving problems. He said that due to our sincere efforts and blessings of Almighty Allah, China has given approval to the funds for Orange Line Train Project despite negative propaganda.
He said that Pak-Army rendered sacrifices against terrorism and the entire nation salutes them. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, country is being made haven of peace and put on the road to progress and prosperity.
Hamza said that on the basis of performance of two and a half years, people gave heavy mandate to the present government in local bodies' elections and now local bodies elected representatives of PML-N will win the hearts of the people through their performance. He said that government is resolving problems on priority basis in which power sector is of great importance. Hamza said that time is not far off when people of Pakistan will rid of load-shedding forever. He said that launching of self-employment scheme by Zakat Department with the collaboration of other departments is a welcome step.
He said that various projects have been started so that the neglected segments could stand on their own feet and the rickshaw scheme is of great importance in this regard. He said that due to the solid policies of Punjab government, transparency and elimination of corruption has improved and an opportunity was provided to the people that the son of a Naib Qasid working in the bank has become Bank Manager.
Provincial Minister for Zakat & Usher Malik Nadeem Kamran stated that two years insurance and tracking system is included in the rickshaws being given in various districts. He said that the rickshaws will be provided at their home by the department. Dr Amjad Saqib said that the welfare projects of CM Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif have increased with the provision of these rickshaws through which opportunity will be provided to the poor people to stand on their own feet.
Chief Executive Telenor Athar Minullah stated that his institution provides financial assistance to the people at their doorstep through easy paisa. At the end of the function, Hamza Shahbaz distributed keys among those getting rickshaws and congratulated them on starting their own business.
Provincial Ministers Zakia Shahnawaz, Chaudhry Sher Ali, Senator Saud Majeed, American Consul General Zaechay Harken Rider, Advisor Mansha Ullah Butt and Chairman Naveed Anjam were also present on the occasion whereas cheques of zakat funds were also given to Medical Superintendents of various hospitals.
