The government says it will allow the country's cricket team to compete in the World Twenty20 in India next month. The Pakistan Cricket Board sought government approval to travel to India and says "the permission has been given specifically" for the World Twenty20. Pakistan has been placed in Group 2 and will be playing matches at Kolkata, Dharamsala and Chandigarh. PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan says he has asked the International Cricket Council "to put in place special arrangements for the Pakistan cricket team while in India."
