Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has castigated the Indian oppression of the held Kashmir while praised Kashmiris for their "unparalleled sacrifices" for the cause of this country though he has blamed "the coward rulers in Islamabad" for betraying them.
The party boss addressing a huge Azme Inqilab public meeting at Chak Swari near Mir Pur on Thursday said, "The occupation troops are grossly violating human rights but New Delhi is staging dramas every now and then to hide its crimes. There is no evidence of any Pakistani's involvement in the Pathankot attack, yet the Pakistan government registered a First Information Report, proving it more loyal than the king. Yet, the Indian authorities are issuing threats to this country."
In reference to his party's anti-corruption campaign, he said, "All those who have come to power in the country have been minting money and transferring the plundered amount to foreign countries. Then, in order to run the country, huge loans have been secured from the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank which approved the loans on harsh conditions including regular raise in the prices of utilities, POL products, farm inputs."
He went on, "Pakistan is an agricultural country. Yet, we are importing potatoes, onions and tomatoes from India because the government which is in the hands of the Nawaz Sharif family is keen to trade with that country. As a result, agriculture in the country has been ruined; the textiles industry closed and the economic growth fallen."
