KMC Administrator Sajjad Hussain Abbasi has cancelled the illegal leases issued in the premises of New Quaid-e-Azam Truck Stand at Hawkesbay Road. The layout plan of the truck stand was originally approved by the council through its resolution No CR-5032/96, said a statement Thursday. According to the resolution, details about the categories of plots and shops were provided, however many illegal leases had been issued over the time which changed the actual plan of the truck stand.
The Administrator Karachi took notice and issued orders for cancellation of all such illegal leases and removal of all encroachments within the limit of truck stand. The resolution no.51 dated 23rd February 2016 regarding cancellation of illegal leases and removal of encroachments at the truck stand was approved by the KMC Administrator.
