The city police are least bothered over increasing crime rate in the federal capital as metropolis witnessed an upward trend in robbery, burglary and car theft cases during last week. According to police sources, as many as four vehicles including bikes were stolen or snatched away at gunpoint from different localities of the city while armed robbers struck at five places depriving citizens of valuables valuing million of rupees during week under review.
The city police registered one case each of kidnapping and murder as well as 20 cases of dishonoured cheque. The dacoits and auto thieves had a field day in the limits of Margalla, Lohi Bheer and Industrial Area police stations. During the period under review, Margalla police registered two cases each of robbery and fake cheque. Muhammad Imran lodged a complaint with Margalla police station that unknown people broke windowpane of his car parked at sector E-8 and took away cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 50000.
In another incident, Farrukh Ahmad lodged a complaint with Margalla police station that unknown robbers stole a laptop and cash from his residence worth Rs 300000. Lohi Bheer police station registered one case each of auto theft and kidnapping of a woman. Auto thieves stole a FX Car (RIP-490) of Muhammad Sulaman from Pakistan Town valuing Rs 100000. Shazia Tabssum informed Lohi Bheer police station that the accused Ramza, Nasir and others kidnapped her daughter.
Industrial Area police station registered one case of robbery and two cases of dishonoured cheque. Adnan Razaq lodged a complaint with Industrial Area police station that three unknown robbers riding a Mehran car intercepted him at sector H-8 service road and snatched his laptop, cash and mobile phone valuing Rs 70,000. During last week, Shehzad Town and Shalimar police stations registered one case each of robbery while Sabzi Mandi registered one case of auto theft. Golra Sharif police registered one case of murder. Tahir Mehmood Paracha lodged a complaint with Golra police station that unknown people killed Bawer Khan at Pend Paracha. Karachi Company and Ramana Police stations registered three cases each of fake cheque, Kohsar registered four whereas Bara Kahu and Aabpara police stations registered one case each of fake cheque.
