The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday sought report from federation pertaining to steps taken for repatriation of Dr Aafia Siddiqui to Pakistan. Dr Aafia Siddiqui's sister Dr Fouzia Siddiqui has filed a petition in the IHC urging the court to issue directives for the federation's intervention to arrange a meeting of Aafia's relatives with her, who is behind the bars in USA.
Granting two weeks time in the matter to the federation, a single-bench of Justice Noorul Haq N Qureshi also issued directives to the concerned authorities to submit a detailed report about Dr Aafia Siddiqui current health status as well. Hearing of the matter was adjourned for two weeks.
