Regularisation of employees: Supreme Court turns down Punjab government's request

Turning down an appeal of the Punjab government filed against regularisation of work charge employees, the top court termed the act of sudden dismissal from service after 28 years unconstitutional.
A 5-member larger bench led by the Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali dismissed the provincial government appeal filed against more than 100 work charge employees of Communication and Works department saying availing services of employees for more than 28 years means that their services were required in the department.
