A newly-wed couple was found murdered inside their house in Orangi Town on Monday. An official at Mominabad police station told Business Recorder that the victims, identified as Khanullah and his wife Shabeena, were allegedly gunned down by their relatives in the name of honour. Empty bullet cases of 9mm pistol were found from the crime scene.
The couple originally hailed from North Waziristan Agency and were residing in a rented house in Orangi No 10 Janghal Goth area. The bodies were handed over to their heirs after medico-legal formalities from Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH). "The father of the victim Shabeena came to us and lodged an FIR 38/2016 against some relatives. Police is trying to apprehend the culprits behind the murder," the official said.
