The United States has praised Pakistan's efforts to put pressure on terrorists and push the Taliban to join the peace process in Afghanistan. This was stated by Deputy Chief of Staff for communication in Afghanistan, Brigadier General Wilson Shoffner in a video conference. He said the quadrilateral peace talks are the surest way towards ending the violence in Afghanistan. He said the United States has been engaged with Pakistan regarding the peace process in the region. The US General said a regional approaches by Pakistan and Afghanistan will prove effective against terrorists.
