Kalam valley receives heavy snowfall

District administration, Swat Saturday issued red alert after heavy snow fall Kalam valley and flash flood in the streams and nullahs including River Swat. According to reports pouring from district Swat snowfall in the upper areas and heavy downpour in plain areas remained continue for second consecutive day. The upper parts of the district including the mountains of Matiltan, Mahudhand, Osho, Gabral and Malam Jabba had worn white blanket of snow and the mercury has decline to freezing points.
In the plain areas including Mingora city, consecutive spell of heavy downpour remained continue for second day, which has triggered flood in River Swat and other streams and nullahs.
