Chief Secretary (CS) Sindh Muhammad Siddique Memon has ordered for an inquiry into 203 development schemes of Thatta and Sujawal district. He has sought comprehensive report on these schemes within a month.
Taking notice of media reports, Chief Secretary Siddique Memon convened an urgent meeting on Sunday. Additional Chief Secretary Muhammad Waseem also attended the meeting during which an inquiry committee headed by chief Planning and Development Mr. Shah was formed to conduct inquiry into 203 development schemes of Thatta and Sujawal pertaining mostly to construction, repair of roads, public health engineering and health developments. The inquiry committee will submit final report to the CS in a month. The Chief Secretary instructed the inquiry committee to probe into the financial expenditure, rules and regulation, tendering procedure and present status of the said schemes.
Siddique Memon made clear that none would be exempted from the disciplinary action if found guilty of malpractices.
