Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) apprehended 14 electricity thieves upon the special directives of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan in different areas of IESCO Region. According to the details, 09 culprits were caught red handed from Islamabad Circle, 02 from Rawalpindi Circle, 01 from Chakwal Circle and 02 from Jehlum Circle.
All culprits were found involved in power theft through direct line (Kunda System) and through bogus meter. IESCO has lodged applications against power thieves under the new electricity (Amendment) Act.
