President of ECO Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ECO-CCI) Abdul Rauf Alam has vehemently condemned the coward attack of the terrorists in Ankara, Turkey resulting in killing of large number of innocent people. Rauf Alam further said that Turkey is founder member of ECO bloc and despite the moderate Muslim country where no extremism or fundamentalism is observed, the present terrorist attack indicates the objective behind is to weaken the growing Muslim economy.
He mentioned that Turkey is also a member of D-8 bloc and struggling to develop the economic co-ordination among ECO and D-8 nations.
He further said that the terrorist attacks cannot be associated with the ideological constraints or contradictions however; such act of terrorism is only to damage the growing economy of Turkey which can play extreme positive role in the integration of ECO member countries including Central Asian countries, Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan.
He said that Turkey has always been playing a leading role in the ECO projects and development of ECC-CCI and D-8 CCI.-PR
