The country's total liquid foreign reserves increased by $196 million during the last week. According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) weekly foreign exchange report issued on Thursday, Pakistan's total liquid foreign reserves reached $20.718 billion level as on March 11, 2016 compared to $20.522 billion as on March 4, 2016.
During the week under review, SBP's liquid foreign exchange reserves increased by $195 million to $15.859 billion up from $15.664 billion in the previous week. Similarly, reserve held by the banks slightly surged $1.1 million to $4.859 billion last week.
It may be mentioned here that the country's forex reserves are increasing from the last few weeks and overall foreign exchange reserves have been surged $366 million during the previous two weeks.
