Prices of Moong down sharply on grain market

Moong prices were sharply lower on the wholesale grain market on Thursday in the process of trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Moong Afghan lost Rs 1875 to Rs 10125, other commodities held the overnight levels, they said.
On the seeds side, rapeseeds Nawabshah and Mirpurlane shed Rs 50 to Rs 1900 and Rs 1925, cakes low type, however, picked up Rs 10 to Rs 1120 and the best quality was higher by Rs 5 to Rs 1125, cottonseeds oilcake with bag inferior quality was down by Rs 80 to Rs 2000 and fine type was unchanged at Rs 2100, they said. Prices were unmoved on the rice and grams sectors, they said.
