A Beechcraft-190 aircraft, which was chartered by Pakistan Petroleum Ltd (PPL), has made a crash landing immediately after taking off from Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. No fatality is reported in the incident. According to details, a Beechcraft-190 aircraft belonging to M/s Aircraft Sales & Services made crash landing immediately after take-off from Karachi Airport at 0824 hours on Friday.
The aircraft carried 18 passengers and three crew members on board. The aircraft, which was chartered by PPL, was scheduled for Sukkur & Sui. The aircraft after attaining the height of 25-30 feet made a crash landing which resulted in closure of runway.
Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) vehicles (fire crash tenders & ambulances) rushed to the site within a minute and prevented further damage by taking control. A CAA spokesman said that three of the 21 passengers on board received minor injuries while the remaining were safe and in good physical health. He said that Director General CAA has ordered an inquiry into the incident and added that runway was cleared within few hours.
