Pakistan Meteorological department has warned that there is a possibility of landslides and avalanches in hilly areas of Malakand, Hazara and Kashmir on Saturday(today). Hailstorms are also expected in Malakand, Hazara, Kashmir and Potohar regions. It said rain-thundershower (with snowfall over the hills) occurred at scattered places in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, KP, upper Punjab, Islamabad and FATA during past 24 hours as under in mm:

The Met department said westerly wave was affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist till Sunday.
Weather Forecast for Saturday (today): Rain-thundershower (snow over hills) is expected at scattered places in upper KP (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan divisions), Rawalpindi, Gujranwala divisions, FATA, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, and at isolated places in Sargodha, Lahore, Bannu, Kohat, D.I Khan divisions. Dry weather elsewhere in the country.

The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected average flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 am.
