Over 15,000 people, belonging to various countries, visited the three-day "12th International Plastic, Printing, Packaging and Food, Equipment & Technology Exhibition" which concluded here at Expo Centre on Thursday. Besides, over 250 companies from 25 countries, including Austria, China, Germany, India, Italy, Switzerland and Taiwan, participated in the event.
This was stated by Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry's (KCCI) president Younus Muhammad Bashir while declaring the exhibition closed. Delighted over the success of the exhibition, he lauded the efforts of the organisers, saying it was a good omen that a large number of foreign trade delegations were now participating in exhibitions being held in Karachi.
"I am optimistic that this type of trade and commercial activities will further increase in the city in future", he added. The exhibition attracted a large number of professionals from plastic, printing, packaging and food industries, different trade and business associations, policy-makers, scientists, members of civil society and journalists. The visitors evinced keen interest in the machineries displayed at the exhibition. Ambassador of Kenya to Pakistan Julius Kibet Bitok and Swiss Consul General in Karachi Emil Wyss also visited the exhibition. Speaking on the occasion, FAKT Exhibitions (Pvt) Limited's CEO M. Saleem Khan Tanoli announced that the next edition of 3P and F+T Exhibition will be organised at Lahore Expo Centre from March 25 to 27, 2017.
