Responding to Pervaiz Elahi's allegations, Punjab government spokesman Zaeem Hussain Qadri has said that now farmers of Punjab were more prosperous as compared to past. Pervaiz Elahi does not like farmer-friendly policies of present government and, therefore, is perturbed over these policies.
He said people have buried the politics of Pervaiz Elahi and he should refrain from hoodwinking the people. Corruption was rampant during Pervaiz Elahi's tenure. Chaudhry Brothers are making futile effort to remain alive in politics by issuing false statements, he maintained.
