Squash wizard and legendry Jansher Khan Sunday said that the president of Pakistan Squash Federation, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff Pakistan Air Force for taking a bold initiatives for the restoration international squash in the country.
Talking to media Jansher Khan hailed PSF for its continuous support and guidance for bringing the derailed squash back on the right track.
The Professional Squash Association (PSA), he said, gave the opportunity to Pakistan to host four tournaments of worth US $25000 each which is good news for the country.
Besides these, the Air Chief issued special instructions to conduct the exhibition tournament in PAF Museum, Karachi for $40,000, so the top ten players across the world will participate in this tournament.
Jansher Khan, who had won the World Open for a record eight times and the British Open six times, urged the players to do their hard work if want to achieve place in the top international ranking. Jansher's skill of movement singled him out from the competition, holding "all the top squash experts in awe as his retirement brought an end to nearly 50 years of domination by Pakistan in the sport of squash.
He also expressed the hope to conduct big tournaments like Pakistan Open will be enlightened, through which both junior and senior players of Pakistan will get benefit and they would be able to achieve good ranking internationally besides the players will also get much needed experience of international competitions of squash within the country.
