Shutter down strike was observed in Bajaur Agency on Sunday against the closure of the Inayat Kalley Bazaar that had been closed for the last 19 days by political administration due to killing of FC officials by unknown miscreants. The strike call was given by All Bajaur Traders Association and supported by all the traders in the agency and All Bajaur Political Parties Alliance as well. The protests were addressed by a number of traders' union leaders, including All Bajaur Traders Association president Haji Sher Bahadar and several others.
Almost Bazaars, business and trade centres across the agency were remained closed whole the day. Among the business hubs that remained closed were the Khar, the main trade centre of agency, Nawagai, Sadiqabad, Qazafi, Raggan, Yousaf abad, Umary, Pashat, Laghari and medicines market outside in the Agency headquarters hospital Khar. The roads were remained open for all kind of traffic during the strike; however the flow of traffic was so much thin in almost areas. Local people complained that they faced problems throughout the day due to strike and shortage of public transports in the region.
According to the reports reached from various areas, the routine life in the entire agency remained paralysed for whole the day.
