Extension in VTCS deadline: PTAA approaches FBR

Pakistan Tax Advisors Association (PTAA) has approached Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for extension in the date for filing of Income Tax Returns/Wealth Statements fro Tax year 2015 upto March 31, 2016. In a commutation to the FBR here on Monday, Chairman Javed Iqbal Qazi Pakistan Tax Advisors Association has asked the FBR to extend the date of filling of Return of Total Income to 31.03.2016 as there is confusion in the minds of taxpayers due to the last date fixed by FBR or Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme as March 31, 2016.
This is a last request for Tax Year 2015 being made on behalf of the taxpayers as PTAA has been approached by the numbers of tax practitioners, advocates and chartered accountants in this respect.
