Mustafa Kamal-led unnamed party on Monday managed to claim one more "wicket" of Mutahhida Qaumi Movement (MQM) after disgruntled Anees Advocate joined former Karachi mayor's camp. "We welcome Anees Advocate Bhai in this 'national convoy'," Kamal told media persons during a press conference at his residence in Karachi's DHA neighbourhood.
Anees said: "The way Mustafa Kamal and other leaders here put things forth, may I let you know that I joined this organisation three years ago from now," deposed MQM leader Anees advocate revealed. "I was confident that there will come a time when people will break their silence and this change will emerge," he added. Ahmed congratulated others leaders for joining Kamal's fold and speaking up against the 'injustices' in the party. "I dedicated more than 30 years to a man," he said referring to the party supremo Altaf Hussain.
"I would say that this man [Altaf] may live for as long as he can... He must live to see what he did to his people who had pledged allegiance to him." The MQM had sacked Anees, who had been a member of the Karachi-based political party's core decision-making body - Rabita Committee - in 2012 over alleged misconduct.
