An eight-rupee commemorative postage stamp about water conservation is being released to mark the World Water Day (WWD), which is celebrated on March 22 every year world-wide, following an initiative by the Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority. The stamp design, approved by the prime minister, displays slogan "water is life, start conserving it" and also carries the description "help WAPDA, serve Pakistan, conserve water". A ceremony took place at the WAPDA House to celebrate the World Water Day.
