Pakistan Chest Society, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has arranged a seminar in connection with the World TB Day at Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) Auditorium. Chest and TB specialists/medical specialists and trainee medical officers participated in the seminar. Presentation had been arranged regarding the symptom, diagnosis, treatment and prevention specially the MDR TB.
Provincial Co-ordination Dr Maqsood Ali presented the Annual Report of 2015 related to TB patients registered for the free treatment in all the districts of the province. Professor Dr Arshad Javed, Head of Pulmonologist Department and Chest Physician gave his presentation regarding the multi drug resistance tuberculosis, its causes of increasing in the province. He also told about Multi-Drug Resistance Treatment Centre working at the Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar.
