Declaring appointment of Director General of Sindh Building Control Authority Agha Maqsood Abbas against the law on Thursday, the Supreme Court asked Sindh government to fill the slot with an eligible bureaucrat. Resuming the hearing of the plea filed against Abbas' appointment as DG SCBA, a two member bench of Justice Amir Hani Muslim and Justice Qazi Faiz Isa observed that how it would be possible for a grade-21 officer to perform under a grade-20 officer. Issuing directives to the Sindh government to remove Agha Maqsood Abbas from the position of DG of the Authority and to fill the slot by an eligible officer, the bench disposed of the case.
