India on Sunday released at least 33 Pakistani nationals from their custody, claimed the relatives. However, two people are said to be still in the custody of India authorities. At least 35 Pakistani nationals were detained by Indian police in the desert state of Rajasthan for having incomplete documents, the Indian media reported. The Pakistani nationals, who entered India through the Thar via Munabav, were detained in Ramdevra district of Rajasthan.
The Indian authorities claimed that they had visa for Mathura and Haridwar, but not for Ramdevra. The detained men were planning to visit the Baba Ramdev temple where stood the Samadhi of Baba Ramdev.
It is reported that these people hail from Amarkot, Mirpurkhas and Tharparkar of Sindh province in Pakistan.
The arrests took place a day after Pakistan protested to India after capturing an alleged Indian spy, sparking a new diplomatic tiff between the two neighbourly countries.
