High Commissioner of Brunei Dato Mahmud Saidin has stressed on the need to pace up efforts for the cause of food security. Inaugurating the fourth Lyallpur Art and Literature Festival at University of Agriculture Faisalabad he said that the main production of Brunei was oil and gas whereas the share of agriculture was very low. He said Brunei was focusing on development of rice crop. "Pakistan is producing fruits and agriculture which must tap the potential in international markets. Pakistani fruits can compete with the world," he said adding that there was high cost of transportation for Pakistan Agro-Export to Brunei.
He said he liked Pakistan mango, citrus apricot due to its taste, aroma and deliciousness.
