LACAS schools in collaboration with Kuch Khaas Islamabad will be launching a joint initiative by the name of "LACAS Mein Kuch Khaas". The event will take place on April 02, and aims to provide the attendees with a glimpse of how the new venture hopes to add to the cultural and academic landscape of the city through the mediums of dance, music and performances.
The launch will also include a short tribute to the memory of its founder Shayan Afzal Khan, lovingly called "Poppy", a staunch civil rights activist and patron of the arts. Michelle Tanya Butt of Kuch Khaas said, "Poppy's idea for Kuch Khaas began as a dream and was many years in the conceiving. She wanted to create a microcosm of the Pakistan she wanted to live in and wanted her children to grow up in." Amna Omar, representative management board of Lacas commented on this collaboration, "We believe that imagination is the determinant of human achievement. LACAS with LACAS Mein Kuch Khaas endeavours to change the paradigm of education with richer conception of creativity and intelligence."-PR
