The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement has strongly condemned the torture and use of water cannon against the protesters of Sindh Professors and Teachers Association (Sipla) in front of Chief Minister's House. In a statement, the Co-ordination Committee said it was shameful that the demonstrators were tortured who took out a protest rally in their favour.
It said that the government should listen to them and rather addressing their legal issues it utilized torture to silent their voice. The Committee said that the torture and arbitrary arrest of teachers could leave negative impact not only on the teachers but also on their pupils.
