Leader of MQM Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that media and politics can play a vital role in strengthening democracy. He expressed such views while talking on the occasion of hi-tea held in honour of Hyderabad Journalists on Sunday at Diyal Das Club Hyderabad. He said, "Altaf Hussain has given the identity to people living in the urban area and it is the duty of next generation how they would save the identity".
The leadership of the MQM always launched struggle against feudalism in the country because if feudalism exited, the democracy would not flourish, he said. Siddiqui said that they would had to eliminate feudalism from the country, if they wanted democracy to flourish in the country. On the occasion, President Hyderabad Press Club (HPC) Jai Prakash Moorani and General Secretary HPC Nasir Shaikh also spoke. Among MQM workers, Abdul Haseeb, Iqbal Muqdam, Zonal In charge Zafar Khan were present on the occasion.
