Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Ehtesab Commission has filed a reference against Umar Hayat, son of Musafar Khan, senior Auditor, District Account Office Shangla on charges of corruption and accumulating huge moveable and immovable assets, which is disproportionate to his legal sources of income. During investigation, it was revealed that the accused initially belongs to a humble/poor family of district Shangla having weak financial condition. After holding a public office during his service, he has amassed huge wealth, which he could not reasonably account for.
His assets amongst others include plots, bungalows, hotel, investment in insurance policies, business, vehicle purchase and unjustified bank transactions in different bank accounts valuing millions of rupees.
