At least 14 people were killed and 33 others injured in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a trailer truck at Mianwali-Muzaffargarh Road in district Bhakkar on Wednesday. DPO Bhakkar Khalid Masud Chaudhry said that eight people died on the spot and six others succumbed to injuries in District Head Quarter Hospital Bhakkar.
According to details, eight people died on the spot and around 40 others wounded when a speedy trailer collided with the bus, coming from opposite direction. The injured persons were shifted to district headquarters hospital Mianwali, where six succumbed to injuries.
The condition of some injured passengers is stated to be critical.
