Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) apprehended 11 electricity thieves upon the special directives of Chief Executive Officer Dr Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan in different areas of IESCO region. According to the details, 8 culprits were caught red handed from Rawalpindi Circle, two from Jhelum Circle and one from Chakwal Circle.
All culprits were found involved in power theft through direct line (Kunda System), Meter Tempering and through earth system. IESCO has lodged applications against power thieves under the new electricity (Amendment) Act. IESCO is committed to crackdown power theft across IESCO region and requested its valued customers to inform power theft on IESCO's new Roshni 8398 SMS service.-PR
