While addressing a press conference at TEXPO 2016 TMA pavilion along with the Director Ministry of Textile Industry Kanwar Muhammad Usman, Chairman Towel Manufactures Association of Pakistan, Farrukh Mqbool said that if accumulated refund of sales tax amounting to Rs 300 billion is released to towel sector than we can assure enhancement of Towel Exports two times more.
TMA (Southern Circle) Chairman Moin A Razzak, former chairman Mehmood Rangoonwala, Mehtabuddin Chawla, Syed Usman Ali and Ali Raza were also present on the occasion. They all stressed on refund of amount to the exporters due to which textile exports declined by 14 percent but towel exports witnessed growth of six percent. This all has become possible due to aggressive marketing in European markets.
"TMA has set up an impresses pavilion in hall no 04 in TEXPO 2016 which has been visited by buyers of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Argentina, and Kuwait and they showed keen interest in placing export orders. Kanwar Usman was also of the view that TMA pavilion is no doubt a unique one which reflects popularity of textile products around the globe.-PR
