I endorse the views of S. Fayyaz Hasan that he expressed through a letter in these columns on 2nd April. I would like to draw the attention of postal authorities, especially the Post Masters of the areas where the registered AD letters are sent.
Mostly the AD slips are not retuned which are prepaid; in case if an AD letter is returned the delivery postman gives vague remarks on the envelope which are always illegible, without signature and date.
Secondly, the delivery postman is bound to go to the addressed letter place for seven days consecutively for delivery but the present practice is that the postman goes once only to deliver the registered letter and returns AD letter to the sender either without remarks or with vague remarks.
A registered AD was sent addressed to M/s Samnan Town Society, Rizvia Market under registered AD No 79 on 31st March 2016 which is returned to me on 5th April 2016 without fulfilling the moral and legal obligations of the postal rules and regulations as stated above.
I hope that authorities concerned would give an ear to it and the process will be adopted as stated in the postal rules and regulations henceforth.
