HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks eased in the first few minutes of trade Monday after Donald Trump last week threatened to ramp up his trade war with China.
The Hang Seng Index dipped 0.19 percent, or 51.20 points, to 26,922.27.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slid 0.16 percent, or 4.29 points, to 2,698.01 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, edged down 0.13 percent, or 1.90 points, to 1,431.46.
