Commander of one of Lyari's gangs, Uzair Baloch's close aide Nouman Siddique who under custody of police during investigation on Saturday revealed political patronage behind gang wars. The accused Nouman Siddique was arrested in Garden area during interrogation said that youths were recruited in the criminal gangs. Since the start of a targeted operation in Karachi in 2013, some criminals have taken refuges in Balochistan and Dubai, he added.
Youths were used for collection of extortion money and target killings in the city. Sources privy to law enforcement agency stated that the copped culprit used to assist Baloch in different affairs. Uzair Baloch was arrested while entering Karachi early in the morning in January. Uzair Baloch, the chief of the banned Peoples Aman Committee (PAC), fled to Dubai in 2013 after the Rangers launched operation in the metropolis.
