Muhammad Azhar, Principal of Shah Lateef Boys Secondary School of Pakistan Steel Mills - who was assigned the duties as Superintendant at the same school for the on-going ninth and tenth classes board examinations - on Saturday was suspended from his post for allegedly being personally involved in facilitating cheating in a systematic way.
This had caused depression and frustration among the genius students who had been burning mid-night oil over their academic year. On learning about the action, students expressed their satisfaction and thanked the Chairman, Board of Secondary Education Karachi, Anwar Ahmedzai and the raiding team. The students and their parents demanded similar action at other examination centres in Steel Town, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Pipri and Port Qasim colony especially those set up in private.
Responding to the reports about cheating at PSM's Shah Lateef School, Chairman of the Board, Anwar Ahmedzai directed his vigilance team for raid, who found Principal Muhammad Azhar's connivance in the use of unfair means at the exam centre. Chairman BSEK, Anwar Ahmedzai has expressed his resolve that the use of unfair means in the examinations would not be tolerated and those involved in this wrong deed would have to face strict legal action.
