Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting of budget teams of Pakistan Army and Finance Division here on Sunday. The meeting discussed and reviewed the expenses incurred on the Operation Zarb-e-Azb till date, said a ministry press release. Deliberations were also held on proposals of the Pakistan Army for the budget 2016-17.
The Finance Minister on the occasion reiterated that the government attached top priority to national security matters, including the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb. The minister said that achievements made in the operation Zarb-e-Azb were indeed significant and "we are all grateful to Allah Almighty for the targets that have been accomplished so far in this operation."
He also said that the rehabilitation of temporary displaced persons was a priority matter for the government.
