The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nasir Khan Durrani has suspended a Sub-Inspector, Inter Head Constable and Head Constable on faulty investigation in an important murder case and further ordered departmental inquiry against them.
According to details the IGP was continuously receiving public complaints against investigation officer of PS Mir Pur Abbottabad Sub Inspector Sarwar, Head Constable Phool Nawaz and Head Constable Mushtaq of their poor and faulty investigation in an important murder case due to which the killer was released on bail from the court. The IGP took prompt action in the matter by constituting a board comprising on senior police officers who in their report substantiated the allegations and submitted it to the IGP. The IGP in light of the report of the inquiry board suspended Sub-Inspector Sarwar, Head Constable Phool Nawaz and Head Constable Mushtaq with immediate effect and further ordered departmental inquiry against the defaulting officials.
