Police on Thursday registered a case of deadly terrorists attack on law enforcers that killed seven policemen guarding anti-polio workers in Orangi Town area the other day. According to police sources, an FIR 139/2016 was registered on behalf of Station House Officer (SHO), Pakistan Bazar Sarfaraz Khan in CTD police station. Sections of counter-terrorism and killings have been included in the case.
Meanwhile, Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) also conducted raids in various areas of the city including posh Defence, Shireen Jinnah Colony, Neelum Colony, and Gulistan-e-Johar area etc.
During course of the raids, LEAs arrested some 10 accused. They were moved to undisclosed location for interrogations.
As many as eight terrorists riding four motorcycles opened fire on two police teams in Bangla Bazar and Disco Mor areas of Orangi Town on Wednesday. The deceased were guarding health workers administrating the four-day anti-polio campaign started on Monday.
