Khyber Green Cricket Club won the All Fata Cricket tournament after beating Bajaur Cricket Club in thrilling match here at Bajaur Sports Complex. Players from Khyber Agency side including Sami Afridi, Asad Afridi and Timour Afridi have showed terrific performance in the final match while Sami Afridi was declared man of the match and player of the tournament as well.
Bajaur Agency Assistant Political Agent Fayaz Sherpao who was the chief guest on the occasion gives trophy to the winner captain and awarded prizes to the best players of the tournament. Rs 15,000 were given to the winner team while Rs 10,000 was awarded to the runner team. A large number of people, including political workers, players, spectators and tribal elders showed up at the final match. Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Political Agent said the administration has accelerated its efforts to encourage sports activities in the agency as games played a vital role in promotion of peace and development in the region.
