The government has increased the prices of pulses at utility stores by 10 percent to 40 percent; it is reliably learnt on Friday. Sources said according to a notification issued by the Utility Stores Corporation, with respect to revision in sale prices, the price per kg of dal chana has been revised upward from Rs 120 per kg to Rs 153.
The price of dal Mash washed per kg has been increased from Rs 275 to Rs 280 dal mash shell per kg has been increased from Rs 258 to Rs 272 after a 14 percent increase. White grain (bold grain) per kg price has been increased from Rs 115 to Rs 155, reflecting a 40 per cent rise, black grain per kg price has been increased from Rs 110 to Rs 140, which shows a 30 percent increase.
Price of dal masoor per kg has been increased from Rs 142 to Rs 155, showing a 13 percent increase and price of dal masoor whole per kg has been increased from Rs 120 to Rs 145 after a 26 per cent increase. According to an inter office memorandum, price of masoor whole per kg has been increased from Rs 125 to Rs 145 after a 20 percent increase.
The price of half (1/2) kg dal chana has been increased from Rs 60 to Rs 77, dal mash washed from Rs 137 to Rs 140, dal mash shell as been increased from Rs 129 to Rs 136 and price of half kg dal moong shell has been increased from Rs 81 to Rs 76. Official documents further revealed that price of half (1/2) kg white grain (bold grain) has been increased from Rs 58 to Rs 78, black grain 1/2 kg has been increased from Rs 59 to Rs 73, dal masoor 1/2 kg has been increased from Rs 71 to Rs 78. Price of dal masoor whole half (1/2) kg has been increased from Rs 60 to Rs 73. An official said that the upward revised prices of pulses take effect immediately.
